Your First Visit - What to Expect

Welcome to Annette Merlino DMD!

Upon entering our office, you will most likely notice how much it looks like a house.  It's almost as if you've come to visit your friends and chat with them in their living room.  That is the look we were going for!  We want you to be comfortable here.  We want you to have a great experience with us.  We pride ourselves as professional and easygoing. Just because you have to go to the dentist doesn't mean you shouldn't also want to go to the dentist.

If you want to fill out your paperwork in the waiting area as is customary, we have some waiting here for you when you walk in to your first appointment.  If you would rather get those filled out and out of the way, we have them available right here.

While you're at it, have a look at our HIPAA notice of privacy practices.

There are some magazines and papers to read while you wait. Typically, before getting any work done as a new patient, we try to get you in first for a cleaning and a comprehensive examination.  This will help to keep up your overall oral health, and gives us the chance to plan together what dental treatment is right for you.  Of course, if you are having pain or discomfort, we will get you in as soon as we can to assess the problem.  Be sure to bring with you some form of payment for services rendered.  If you have dental insurance, copayments will be due at the time of service.  If your insurance company reimburses you directly, we will submit your claim as a courtesy to you and payment will be due at the time of service.  Please check out our 'about us' page to get familiar with our doctors, hygienists, and staff.
